NATA has added IEC 61347-2-13: Lamp controlgear - particular requirements for DC or AC supplied electronic controlgear for LED modules to the Comtest Laboratories Scope of Accreditation.

An accredited test report is required by the Electrical Regulators for the Australian Electrical Approval. The Electrical regulators have confidence in the testing performed by NATA accredited laboratories.

Comtest was accredited for AS /NZS 61347.2.2 Part 2.2: Particular requirements for DC or AC supplied electronic step-down convertors for filament lamps in 2008.

With the changes that have occurred in technology Comtest saw the need to add the IEC 61347-2-13 standard which specifies the requirements for power units that supply LED modules to their NATA accreditation.
