All-Air provides hard working Toyota LandCruiser utes

The Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series ute has been an industry mainstay for decades - particularly in mining and agriculture - thanks to its towing capability, with peak torque from practically idle at 1200-3200 rpm. But even a reliable, hard-working vehicle like this develops wear and tear over time.

All-AirSuspension has introduced a rear suspension leaf helper kit designed specifically for the LandCruiser 70-79 series ute. This bolt-in system from Airbag Man is designed to assist the existing leaf springs, providing excellent ride, load carrying and adjustability. It also helps to decrease maintenance costs over time, as wear is reduced and more evenly distributed.

"The kits provide rear support, which is especially important when carrying heavy or uneven loads in the tray of the vehicle," says All-Air Suspension general manager, James Maslin.

"They help to maintain correct vehicle height at all times, which will in turn reduce the overall wear on the tyres and brake wear will be more evenly distributed. It will essentially extend the working life of these valuable industry vehicles," Maslin explains.

Firestone Ride-Rite airbags - the world's No 1 air spring - are designed to fit between a vehicle's chassis and the axle / leaf spring to provide levelling control, front-to-rear and side-to-side, when a vehicle is under load. This enables a vehicle to "level up" when carrying heavy, uneven loads and when towing caravans, boats and trailers. The heavy duty double convoluted airbags are a two ply, reinforced rubber bellows.

Users can adjust the airbags for varying loads and road conditions by simply inflating or deflating, just like inflating a tyre. Firestone Ride-Rite airbags provide extra support for leaf suspensions in light trucks, vans, utes, 4WD's, SUV's, caravans and motor homes.

The air springs do not increase the vehicle's load capacity, however. They are designed to optimise the performance, within the vehicle's limitations. Users should not exceed the Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM).

All Air also has a large range of On-Board Air Control kits and components that include compressors, gauges, switches, valves, fittings and tubing, to complement any specific vehicle needs.
