OxTS GPS Inertial Navigation System | xNAV ...
The xNAV system is designed to deliver superior position, roll/pitch and heading data even in challenging operating environments without dominating the weight allowance of the aircraft. It's small, compact, lightweight.
This product is all about size and accuracy. Just under 380g and a little larger than a computer mouse, the xNAV fills the gap between light-weight inertial systems that are not accurate enough and accurate inertial systems that are not small enough. In UAV's (unmanned aerial vehicles) the xNAV is accurate enough to give less than 0.9m pixel accuracy at a height of 1000m but without dominating the weight allowance of the aircraft.
Features - xNav200, xNav500:
Features - xNav550 (same as above with the following improvements):
Applications:
Real time output
The xNav500 and xNav550 now provide real time output providing you with positional, heading and all other data live.
2cm position accuracy
Tight-coupling, differential GPS, GPS-heading and, of course, fantastic inertial sensors all combined to give great performance. The tight-coupling ensures GPS measurements continue to be used in difficult conditions. Differential GPS, post-processed from a standard RINEX file, make it easy to achieve better than 0.02m position. Combined forward-backwards (in time) processing and the odometer input (for wheel based vehicle use) minimises the drift when GPS is not available to 0.02m in 1 minute or 1km, surpassing many larger and more expensive systems.
0.1° heading using dual GPS
Unique in low-weight inertial systems, the dual-antenna GPS included in the xNAV550 gives constant heading performance of 0.1 degrees, far exceeding what can be achieved using magnetic sensors and without drift. OxTS has combined the best MEMS sensors available and calibrated them using our world-leading calibration technology. Because we control the inertial sensors and the Kalman Filter, we model each part of the system to bring the optimal solution in a turnkey package.
Turnkey integration
24 hours of data saved internally can be post-processed using the OxTS tool chain. Real-time outputs include NMEA GPGGA and 1PPS for synchronising other sensors. A timing input can accurately timestamp camera shutter or other external events and the software will interpolate the 100Hz measurements to the exact event time. These make it easy to interface to cameras, laser scanners and other sensors.
