Three Model 110018 18" (457mm) Super Air Knives completely surround and blowoff crates so they can be loaded immediately.

The laminar airflow of the EXAIR Super Air Knife is perfect for removing moisture prior to packaging, labeling, bar coding and assembly.

The Problem: As a final step of their process, a bottling plant place their filled bottles into plastic crates. Once the empty crates are returned from various retail markets, they must be cleaned and sanitized  before they can be used again. When the bottler puts the crates through the washer, they are exiting the rinse dripping wet. When the bottles are returned to the wet crates they are covered in water spots and ruining many labels.

The Solution: The company installed Model 110018 18" (457mm) Super Air Knives on an angle completely surrounding the crates, blowing a sheet of air against the travel of the crates, directing the water downward towards the floor. The bottles were completely dried and could be loaded immediately.

Comment: Super Air Knives were the best choice for this application, providing complete coverage and no dead spots when blowing across the inside and outside surfaces of the crate. The mounting made the Super Air Knife easy to adjust depending of the size of the crate. Other companies have used similar arrangements to blowoff car batteries, blocks of cheese, milk cartons, buckets and more.
