Data Logger | imc Cronos PL
imc CRONOS PL is a modular and network-compatible measurement system, where any signals and sensors like voltage, current, temperature, strain gauges, ICP, RPM, displacement or also CAN-Bus etc. can be connected directly.
Perfect adaptability
Five different housing models, enabling modular expansion with 4 – 512 channels with a 400 kHz aggregate sampling rate, provide adapted operation for any application. imc CRONOS PL data logger is independent and doesn't need a PC to perform measurements.
Its self-activation capability enables smart data logging operation. Thus, alongside laboratory applications, the device can also support the construction of PC-independent, cascading, decentralised, close-to-sensor measurement networks.
Acquired data is safely stored in the device’s internal Flash disk or hard disk. For cases of power outage, an uninterruptible power supply protects the acquisition of data.
The modular design accommodates practically any type of analog and digital signal sources or sensors. An optional digital interface enables measured data to be extracted from field busses (CAN-, ARINC- or J1587) simultaneously and in synchronisation.
To accomplish open- and closed-loop applications, imc CRONOS PL can be equipped with digital inputs and outputs, analog outputs (control variables), as well as programmable signal sources (by means of a synthesiser for signal generation).
A built-in DSP-array enables application of math operations to channel data streams and definition of control unit commands. In conjunction with the powerful trigger machine, this provides quick and exact control of measurement and open- and closed-loop control data in real time.
Ready-to-go operating software
The operating software imc Devices is a uniform user interface offering a wide variety of data display styles. Along with quick configuration of individual devices, this program also enables network-wide Client/Server operation of imc devices even of different classes.
This MS-Windows software package comes standard with all imc measurement systems and lets the user perform measurements quickly and reliably, without the need for any programming. All measurement parameters can be set for each channel individually.
The broad range of data storage-, triggering- and real-time functions are clearly arranged by device and explicitly labeled. The measured data can be displayed either on the device’s (alpha numeric) display, or in any graphical display modes imaginable on a PC connected via Ethernet TCP/IP.
The uniform operating software means a major reduction in the costs of orientation, training, updating and software maintenance.
It also makes it possible to operate the system more reliably. Measurement tasks are easier and cheaper to perform. The reduction of the so-called "Cost of Ownership" is considerable, especially when using multiple devices.
Integrated Measurement Engineering - Affordable, adaptable, future-oriented
imc CRONOS PL is the first modular system designed on the basis of a platform and shared component concept. This makes a wide variety of housings, hardware configurations and optional expansions available.
This is the only way to achieve a vast variety of measurement tasks in an affordable way. By this means, even custom functionality can be implemented largely within the framework of the standard system package.
Effective system integration
In a networked world, it is decisively important that a measurement device be able to hook up with local networks, test stations, installations and machines, and to reliably communicate and synchronise with external devices. Open hardware and software interfaces (Ethernet TCP/IP, COM, LabView), in conjunction with powerful command libraries, ensure effective, quick and reliable system integration
