Huntsman Ethyleneamine Chemicals
Capable of a broad range of reactions, they are primarily deployed as reactive intermediates to produce other useful chemicals. We manufacture our ethyleneamines via the ethylene dichloride / ammonia process. While most individual distillation fractions are sold as products, others are formulated or reacted further to develop specific physical or chemical properties.
Our ethyleneamines are used in: asphalt additives; bleach activators; chelating agents; corrosion inhibitors; drainage aids; elastomeric fibres; epoxy curing agents; fabric softeners; fungicides; hydrocarbon purification; lube oil and fuel additives; mineral processing aids; pharmaceuticals; plastic lubricants; polyamide resins; rubber processing additives; surfactants; textile additives; urethane chemicals; wet strength resins; and wood preservatives.
EDA is the lowest molecular weight ethyleneamine. With two primary nitrogens, it is a clear, colorless single-component product.
DETA is a linear ethyleneamine with two primary and one secondary nitrogen. It is a clear, colorless single-component product.
TETA is a mixture of four TETA ethyleneamines with close boiling points including linear, branched and two cyclic molecules.
TEPA is principally a mix of four TEPA ethyleneamines with close boiling points including linear, branched, and two cyclic TEPA products, and higher molecular weight products.
E-100 is a complex mix of tetraethylenepentamine (TEPA), pentaethylenehexamine (PEHA), hexaethyleneheptamine (HEHA), and higher molecular weight products. It is a complex mixture of various linear, cyclic and branched products with a number-average molecular weight of 250-300 g/mole.
AEP-HP is a cyclic ethyleneamine. It contains one primary, one secondary and one tertiary amine to form a clear, colorless single-component product.
AEEA is a single component product, with minimal ethylenediamine impurity. It is water-soluble, clear, colorless and slightly viscous.
