Greater flexibility when you have the versatility to rotate or change cable outlets in 90-degree increments easily in the field.
This is the key idea behind the EPIC® DATA 90 RJ45. This range of connectors is are made up of two parts, and the rear part can be fitted in four positions. "This means that we are effectively offering four connectors under a single item number", says product manager Thomas Plewnia. The EPIC® DATA 90 RJ45 ensures reliable network cabling even in very restricted spaces and avoids putting a strain on the bending radius of data network cables.
With its metallised housing and assembly without the need for special tools, the angled EPIC® DATA 90 RJ45 is suitable for a wide range of applications in industrial and office environments. Cable strain can also be relieved using a cable gland with clamping ring allows cable diameters of 5.5 to 10 millimetres. The angled EPIC® DATA 90 RJ45 is designed for transmission rates of up to 10 GBit/s. Just like the straight version, the angled connector meets the requirements for transmission category Cat.6A and is also suitable for PoE+ in compliance with IEEE 802.3at.
LAPP Australia offers a range of industrial Ethernet connectors with a 90-degree cable exit that can be rotated in four different directions. The connectors are ideal for making essential networking connections in cramped control cabinets.
The RJ45 connectors are fully screened, with full metal jackets and proper cable glands for ruggedness, and can accommodate cables from 5 to 9mm diameter with 24AWG to 22AWG conductors (which covers CAT 5e, 6, 6a and 7).
These connectors are particularly easy to install using Fast Connect technology. They feature colour-coded terminals to reduce the chance of miswiring, and use push-down insulation-displacement contacts for tool-free installation.
