Protoblast was established in 1975 and is a wholly Australian owned company.
Over the past 40 years Protoblast has been designing and building a full range of abrasive blast equipment, and while having its own standard products, has an emphasis on specialised machines, cabinets and chambers designed to suit particular requirements. Protoblast airless blast machines have been used for a wide variety of applications, with products as diverse as steel ingot moulds to polyurethane water ski cores, being successfully processed in Protoblast machinery.
Protoblast has become established as one of the leading manufacturers of blast chambers and associated equipment in Australia. Many full and partial recovery systems in blast chambers have been installed, and the Protoblast system is very highly regarded. While the capability is available to complete a project entirely in-house, and is regularly used, many customers avail themselves of Protoblast’s design service to fabricate a chamber themselves, while purchasing the abrasive recovery and ventilation equipment from Protoblast.
Protoblast has also supplied specialised cabinets and air blast machines. These have been used to blast a wide variety of products, ranging from rocket tubes to sanding belts.
A network of agents and contacts throughout Australia and New Zealand represent Protoblast Company. Protoblast equipment has been installed in all States and Territories in Australia.
Exported machinery has been supplied to New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the United States and the Middle East.
