Robot Grippers - Mechatronic
Plustronic units integrate the gripper electronics and mechanics to provide an intelligent system with excellent flexibility and control options. Gripper stroke, speed and grip force can be controlled, plus the gripper can feedback information such as velocity, stroke, position, temperature and motor current.
Model PEH40 is a servo-electric, 2-finger, large stroke gripper that allows precise and power adjusted gripping of large workpieces. With 60mm stroke per finger, this results in one gripper being able to accomodate different size and shape components with sensitivity and precision. Actuation is via an external controller which cna be quickly and easily integrated into exisiing control systems.
Ideal for applications where pneumatics and hydraulics are to be avoided, where delicate parts are to be handled, or where a higher level of gripper control is necessary, Plustronic grippers are available with several controller options.
Grippers are offered in 2-finger parallel and 3-finger concentric versions for automated systems; and manual types for handling miniature components during assembly and sorting tasks. The Plustronic range also includes servo-electric swivel units and 2-axis wrists to further enhance the automation possibilities.
