Stretch Wrap Films & Pallet Stabilisation ...
Is used to wrap around products to keep the contents together on the pallet. Available in hand wrap or machine wrap in clear or black (ideal for hiding contents) in standard or pre-stretched forms. What's the difference?
Pre-stretched - take some of the work out of pulling the wrap for a tight fit as it has already been pre-stretched for that snug and secure fit. The only disadvantage being is that is a bit louder whilst coming off the roll.
Standard - works just as well as pre-stretched pallet wrap, but is quieter when coming off the roll.
Machine Pallet Wrap - Is available in either blown or cast film in either black or clear, with the difference being that blown stretch wrap is ideal for heavy and irregular shaped items with the best puncture resistance, whilst cast stretch film has higher clarity and a lower noise whilst unwinding from the roll.
Pallet Stabilisation Products
Grip Sheets - Anti Slip Sheets for pallets
Grip Sheets are a non-slip insert which is placed between layers of cartons/product. They reduce movement of the pallet by creating friction and are available either as a two paper graded sheet in 90gsm or 160gsm (1100mm x 1100mm) or a clear polyester 1150mm x 1150mm. Grip sheets can be used in conjunction with other pallet stabilisation products lie strapping, tape or pallet wrap.
Pallet Pads/Corrugated cardboard sheets - liners for the base of pallets
These are a cardboard sheet used to cover the bottom of pallets to reduce tear caused by rough pallet bases as well as protect from dust and other contaminates. Can be purchased singly or in bulk.
Angle Boards | Pallet Corners |Cardboard Edge Protectors
Known by a range of names, edge protectors do exactly that. They are made of a thick moulded cardboard that sits on the sides/corners or pallet loads to protect the edges from damage that can be caused by strapping and other forms of pallet stabilisation products. The are the ideal pallet protection solution particularly when you have small light boxes stacked on the pallet that are prone to collapsing when the pressure of strapping or stretch wrap is applied. Available in white or standard brown.
Pallet Strapping - you can strap pallets together to keep them stable and together either using either strapping kits (available in steel or poly-strapping), battery operated strapping tools or a pallet strapping machines.
Strapping Kits are where all the tools you need are put together for you: 1xroll of strapping, seals, tensioner, sealer and dispenser. Get Packed supplies them in plastic (for light weight strapping) as well as poly and steel for heavier loads.
Battery Operated Strapping Tools - such as the Zapak are available as a portable battery operated tool as well as a Pneumatic Strapping tool where the plastic or poly strapping is automatically tensioned and then friction welded. Perfectly suited for the purpose of stabilising pallets.
Pallet Strapping Machines will feed the strapping under the pallet so that the operator can pick the strapping up and then feed it into the machine for tensioning and sealing.
Pallet Bags - an alternative to stretch wrap
Also known as pallet shrink bags - the bags are a large and heavy duty gusseted bag that come on a roll in assorted sizes and thicknesses - making them ideal for odd shaped loads. Simply place over the pallet load of goods and with the use of a Gas Gun, apply heat which causes the bag to shrink and conform to the shape of the pallet holding it tight. A great alternative to pallet wrap as it eliminates the need to pull or push around the pallet which alleviates OH & S issues often associated with hand wrapping a pallet.
Top Sheets - Pallet Caps
Available in black or clear, 1680mm square, and come on a perforated roll of 250 sheets. Top Sheets or pallet caps are used to place over the top or bottom of pallets to protect against dust, dirt and the weather. Commonly used with stretch wrap as stretch wrap doesn't cover the top or underside of pallets.
