Wingham Farm Machinery was first established by Neville Edwards in 1989; he built front end loaders, post hole diggers, and did general steel fabrication and repairs. He and WFMs first employee (Boyd Boughton) did all this in a 10m x 10m dirt floor shed, with a block and tackle and hand trolly as the only tools for material handelling.
It did not take long for the business to grow; by 1995 he had moved into a larger shed with fork lifts, overhead cranes and more employees.
It was around this time WFMs product range grew, now including slashers, post drivers, pallet forks, bale spike frames, 4x1 and standard buckets, bull blades, and much more.
A proud contribution to his range was an economical round bale grab, as it was in the mid 90s when large round bales became more popular on small and medium farms and still today this bale grab is one of our best sellers.
