FireCrunch Impact Resistant Building Board ...
FireCrunch is a strong, innovative, durable and lighter weight impact resistant building board. It is made from a mixture of Magnesium Oxide (MgO) and 8 to 10 times stronger than normal plaster board products and insulates from intense heat and cold. It will last a lot longer than standard compressed fibre cement (CFC) building boards therefore replacement and maintenance do not become an issue. CUTS AND ROUTS WITH TIMBER TOOLS
FireCrunch impact resistant building board is also less expensive and lighter in weight than BLUE BOARD VILLA BOARD AND SIMILAR CFC panels. Due to its material properties, FireCrunch does not break down or warp in water, therefore less replacement requirement after flooding... simply clean, seal and repaint. The less you have to replace, the less damage to the environment.
Key Benefits:
FireCrunch is highly resistant to fire (CSIRO TESTED) and will not burn in a fire storm. FireCrunch is applicable in BAL 12.5 to BAL 40 and BAL FZ Flame Zone regulation areas when used to protect exposed timber framing, eaves, joists etc. It is tested by the CSIRO to worst case scenario of fire storm conditions.
Meets AS/NZS 1530.1, 1530.4-2005/14, AS/NZS 3959 and AS/NZS 3837.
FireCrunch is an extremely dense, ( 1.15g/cm3) hardwearing and long lasting building sheet that is resistant to permanent water damage when installed and maintained correctly. This makes it the smart choice for laundries, kitchens, bathrooms floors and decking in both domestic and commercial projects. FireCrunch is also ideal as a substrate for tiling, marble, slate or granite in Firecrunch wet and dry areas.
One of the biggest issues for Australian homes is Termites. FireCrunch is made from a uniquely formulated, non-toxic fibre composite mix so is impervious to termites and insects. It totally protect expensive timber framing. There are four particular Termite species on the east and south coast of Australia can destroy timber faming of a three bed home in less than a year
Due to the predominant chemical compound Magnesium Oxide (MgO) and Magnesium Sulphate (MgSO4) in our building boards, it eliminates mould resistance as well as mildew and moisture resistance in warm and humid conditions. FireCrunch’s Magnesium Oxide composition means those damaging and unhealthy Bacterial elements can’t grow or survive on Firecrunch building board.
Antibacterial fireCrunch building boards
FireCrunch is an Australian NATA tested Building board and has total sound and acoustic resistance as a sound proof building board up to Rw 62 net 52 on 10 mm boards in double stud framing for fire separation walls.
Cement board and plasterboard manufacturing use kiln temperatures of more than 1300°C. FireCrunch is produced at temperatures around 650°C therefore producing 50% less Co2 during the manufacturing process, in carbonation. It draws back 90% of the Co2 produced and makes it a virtually carbon neutral product 5%.
General Features: NO METAL CORROSIVE MAGNESIUM CHLORIDE
Applications:
FireCrunch building board has extensive applications in major construction for residential and commercial properties. It is also of particular interest to those renovating or repairing homes where either plasterboard gypsum style linings or other kinds of high maintenance products have been used.
