ICP DAS I-9120 CAN Network
ICP Australia is proud to introduce ICP DAS’s I-9120. The controller area network, or CAN, is a serial communication bus that is particularly well suited for connecting smart devices to create smart systems or sub-systems. High-level security is effectively supported along with distributed real-time control.
In CAN networks, prioritised messages are sent instead of conventionally addressed addresses for subscribers or stations. I-9120 with 9000 series PAC (Programmable Automation Controller) is a practical CAN solution when used as a standalone CAN controller.
It contains a single 5-pin screw terminal CAN communication interface that can be used in a variety of CAN applications. The I-9120 has retransmission functionality, bus arbitration, error detection, and CAN 2.0A and 2.0B specific 10kbps to 1Mbps CAN baud rates.
Combining the advantages of 9000 series PACs, which can be used without significantly raising CPU burden, it may be a potent multi-CAN port programmable device server by driving the programme in the 186 CPU of I-9120. As a programmable device server, it can also communicate with various communication interfaces such as RS-232, RS-485, and Ethernet ports. Users can therefore create a range of apps using various communication protocols.
