The new Crate Wizard CW1600X from Simpro is an innovative solution for bakeries and distribution hubs who handle stacks of plastic bread-crates. Featuring electrically-operated arms known as 'BearPaws', the CW1600X clamps onto the sides of crate stacks, holds them firmly while they are lifted, moved and stacked, then releases them with the press of a button. This allows bread crates to be handled with unprecedented speed and safety.

Powered by a large 12V/55Ah sealed gel battery, the Crate Wizard's electro-hydraulic system does all the lifting, allowing one person to effortlessly handle stacks of crates weighing up to 200kg. Operators can use simple visual indicators to to collect the desired number of crates, or engage the auto-height mode to instantly move the arms to the precise height needed for a given task. This allows skilled Crate Wizard operators to achieve productivity many times higher than manual handling methods.

Like all Simpro products, Crate Wizard was designed for safety from the ground up. The clamp arms feature an intrinsic fail-safe design in the event of hydraulic system failure, reducing the risk of unintentionally dropping crates. Other safety features include a limit bar for maximum stack height, a prominent Emergency Stop button and a safety sounder.

The Crate Wizard is easy to move and use, but very rugged and built to withstand years of rough handling with little maintenance. It is backed by a two-year factory warranty.
